Trying to Go Home: The requirements I've been complying

It's now apparent that people who are not actually from Cebu are trying to get across and go back to where their family are. It's not economically and psycho-socially wise anymore to be away from them but also it is vital that we stay indoors-- to keep the virus from spreading or catch it.

I joined a group chat of people who are from the same province as I am. There is no clear information out there that gives us a step by step process on how to go home. So I took the lead on finding details and reminding them of what to do.

BASIC REQUIREMENT

What seem to be the very basic requirements to all municipalities/cities for home comers are:

1. A Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) Certification (from current address)- since this subunit handles the barangay level monitoring of Persons Under Monitoring (PUM) and Persons Under Investigation (PUI), which is by the way has been revised; they require you to sign an undertaking containing the agreement and terms of getting the certificate, well actually the terms on going under a two-week self quarantine. A BHERT personnel/nurse will ask you to monitor your temperature twice everyday for the duration. Until then, the certificate will be released.

2. A Medical Certificate from the City/Municipal Health Department. - As I've understood, this follows after the BHERT Certificate, and that said certification will be the basis of this one.

3. A Travel Permit - now I haven't really gathered much information on this one, but this seems to be requested from the City/Municipal government where you are currently in.

4. A COVID-19 TEST. This is very challenging as no one can actually just walk-in to a licensed testing centers, because right now, the kits are limited and they are prioritizing it for confirmatory test. Even when I called Department of Health 7, they do have limited tests, so right now it's impossible to do it on people who are not for confirmatory testing.

These 4 are just the basic ones, some cities does not require a Covid-19 test, while some require it more than once. Better check with you cities/municipalities, as it seem, each LGU has their own set of requirements.

PATIENCE IS REALLY SOME VIRTUE

The current situation that the world is in, is bothering. Schools are closed, yet my school is trying to resume which I personally oppose because its just too risky. Even one member of the admin wants to extend Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) for he had his own experience of being exposed to a patient who is a CoVid-19 positive.

So I thought I taking the best approach by processing requirements that can possibly be a standing requirement to enter my home province and at the same time wait for a possible favorable update from the school. I am dearly wishing and praying, that this situation gets better and institutions decide for the best interests of its constituents.

    Take care!
