Cebu Jeepney Strike
Nagkahiusang Drayber sa Sugbo (Nadsu) held a transport strike Monday 3-6-09 to voice out their demand on fare nationwide fare rates.
Yes, its Monday and first day of the finals week. Since my boarding house is not far away from school and thus its a walking distance, I did not know that there is this strike. I was only informed after a classmate called our teacher that he might be late for there are no jeepneys or taxis in Guadalupe, and I realize that it was really kind of serious when we are about to go to Ayala and there were no jeepneys, so we have to stay around Ramos. Unfortunate for those who live away from Velez.
I think these jeepney drivers should be heared by the government, so my classmates could come to school. Or if they want to hold a strike, can you make it like "No classes" or "Educational Strike: Let all students pass major subjects" hehehe
